Year-to-date Sales Figures

Sales Volume for Marin County single-family homes has increased 4% year over year, median price is down slightly by 4%!  Distressed sales represent 26% of the total sales in 2011 vs 21% in 2010. Novato continues to be the area leader in distressed sales. 

Condo sales volume has increased 23% year over year, the median price is down by 12.6% and the average price is off by 7.7%.  Distressed sales represented 45% of the sales in 2010 and 47% of the sales in 2011.  The attractive condo pricing is a result of the large number of distressed sales which accounts for the surge in sales.
