Single-Family Home Sales Rise 4%, Median Price Dips by 5%. Condo Sales Increase Over 23%, Median Price Decreases by 13%! Investors and savvy buyers continue to take advantage of the low-end Marin County real estate market. Sales of Marin properties less than $500,000 surged by 34% in 2011 while sales of higher priced properties decreased by 2.5%
Prices are forecasted to increase in 2012 due to the noticeable lack of inventory, interest rates under 4% and the continuing strong pent-up demand for Marin properties.
